🏡 Terms and Conditions – La Cabane Pain d'Épices
1. Purpose of the contract
This contract is intended exclusively for the rental of the La Cabane Pain d'Épices tiny house located at 38 rue de la Tuilerie in Ruederbach. By making a booking, you agree to these terms and conditions.
2. Description of the accommodation
The tiny house is designed for a stay of 1 to 2 people maximum. It is equipped for tourist use, in a quiet and natural setting with a pond nearby. The accommodation is not suitable for children under 6 years of age.
3. Capacity
The number of people indicated at the time of booking must not be exceeded without prior agreement. Any undeclared persons may result in the immediate termination of the rental, without refund.
4. Booking conditions
The booking becomes effective upon receipt of a deposit of 25% of the total amount of the stay. The balance is to be paid no later than 5 days before arrival.
5. Payment methods
Payments can be made by bank transfer, credit card or cash. Payment details will be provided at the time of booking.
6. Cancellation by the customer
- More than 5 days before arrival: refund of the deposit.
- Less than 5 days before arrival: the deposit is retained.
- In case of no-show: the entire stay is due.
7. Cancellation by the owner
In the event of exceptional cancellation by the owner (unforeseen circumstances, force majeure), the owner undertakes to:
- Notify the customer as soon as possible,
- Offer an alternative solution (if possible),
- Refund the full amount paid.
8. Arrival and departure times
- Arrival: from 3 p.m.
- Departure: before 11 a.m.
Please notify us in case of late arrival.
9. Security deposit
Upon arrival, the tenant shall pay the owner a security deposit of €200 (two hundred euros) to cover any damage, loss or breach of contractual obligations.
This deposit will be returned either at the time of the exit inventory or within 7 days after departure (in the event of suspected damage), less any amounts justified by the owner.
10. House rules
The tenant agrees to:
- Occupy the premises personally, without organising unauthorised parties or events, either inside or outside the tiny house.
- Respect the maximum capacity of 2 people.
- Not smoke or vape inside the accommodation.
- Not bring animals into the accommodation, unless prior written consent has been obtained from the owner.
- Respect the peace and quiet of the neighbourhood.
- Not damage the equipment provided in the accommodation.
- Respect and not damage the surrounding nature and not disturb the wildlife.
- Leave the accommodation clean and tidy on departure.
11. Stays with children – minimum age
For safety reasons, children under the age of 6 are not allowed in the tiny house. The accommodation is not suitable for young children (lack of equipment, unsecured pond, etc.). Any booking that does not comply with this rule may be cancelled without refund.
12. Liability – Accidents, pond and damage
The owner accepts no liability for any accident, injury or bodily harm occurring during the stay, whether inside or outside the tiny house, including in the garden, around the pond, on the access paths or when using the equipment provided.
Tenants are responsible for their own safety and must ensure that the premises are used in a normal and prudent manner. Children remain under the full responsibility of the adults accompanying them.
The pond located near the tiny house is not supervised. Tenants undertake to exercise the utmost vigilance, particularly with children, who remain under the supervision and sole responsibility of the adults accompanying them.
The owner cannot be held responsible in the event of a fall, drowning or any other incident related to the presence of the pond.
Furthermore, the owner declines all responsibility in the event of theft, loss or damage to tenants' personal belongings during their stay.
